Brittany fell in love with the healing power of yoga as a teenager and completed her teacher training in 2010 in New Jersey with internationally acclaimed yoga therapist Ranjitha Sandeep. Since then, she has continued to deepen her practice through a wide range of styles, including restorative, yin, and kundalini yoga.
Her classes are nurturing and intentional, weaving together breathwork, mindful movement, meditation, deep relaxation, affirmations, and her specialty—guided visualizations. Brittany creates a warm, welcoming space where students are encouraged to slow down, reconnect, and listen inward, leaving class feeling peaceful, supported, and present.
Her passion for holistic healing also led her to become a Reiki practitioner. Off the mat, Brittany loves spending time immersed in Maui’s nature with her daughter and stand-up paddling alongside whales. She is a committed student of yoga and a heart-centered teacher who is honored to share these healing practices with her community.
David Moench
David’s teaching style and practice are rooted mainly in classical Hatha and Ashtanga, interwoven with elements of Iyengar, Anusara, Yin, and Kundalini.
He was in his late twenties when he migrated from Salt Lake City to Maui to pursue his love for martial arts.
That all changed after being introduced to Ashtanga Vinyasa. The practice was more in alignment for David in every way and came organically to him. Now in his forties, he is still fascinated by this tradition and currently focuses on the wonders of Pranayama and how the art of breathing adds unending richness and depth to our journey of self discovery.
A teacher said, "Yoga is the transformation of our helpless and hurried hearts into pulsars of peace and deep compassion." David aims to learn and teach from this concept as he joyfully and gratefully shares this practice.
Mar Barry
Mar moved to Maui in October 2023 after marrying her soulmate in July of the same year.
Although Mar had been doing yoga casually for years, she began a consistent yoga practice 4 to 5 times a week in 2017.
That regular practice had such a positive effect on her physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing that she enrolled in a 200-hour teacher training program and received her certification in March 2019.
Her original purpose in studying teacher training was to simply deepen her own personal practice. However, after she completed her training, she was inspired to share the beautiful practice of yoga with others. She has taught yoga classes in Victoria, Canada on Vancouver Island since completing her training and has been teaching classes at Maui Yoga Loft since November 2024.
Mar is very grateful and honored to be teaching here on Maui. She teaches a vinyasa style and focuses on infusing loving kindness and joy into each class that she teaches. She hopes that her students leave her classes feeling peaceful and at ease.
